A EXPERIÊNCIA PARCEIRA ENTRE OS PROGRAMAS SAÚDE DA FAMÍLIA E SAÚDE NA ESCOLA NO MUNICÍPIO DE MATÕES DO NORTE (MA)

Abstract

The Family Health Program, now the Family Health Strategy, was established in 1994 by the Ministry of Health in order to reorganize the health care model from primary care and in accordance with the principles of the Unified Health System is comprised of multidisciplinary teams working in an interdisciplinary perspective prioritizing the family as the focus of interventions, being understood comprehensively in their social and physical space. The expanded concept of health directs a concept of health care is no longer centered on the disease but to improve the quality of life, and to conquer it adopts as one of the strategies of Health Promotion Health promotion enables people control, increasingly, the social determinants of health, improving their quality of life, a fact that involves other sectors, and is therefore considered practical intersectoral. This context places the school as a privileged space to develop intervention programs with the community because not only restricted to teaching, but is aimed at promoting health to produce a new culture in relation to health-disease process. The School Health Program was established with the aim of contributing to the education of students in public education through the promotion, prevention and health care. The engagement between the teams of the Family Health and Basic Education is a strategy to integrate and coordinate, on a permanent basis, policies and actions in education and health combined with community participation. It serves as a positive partnership between the Family Health Programs and School Health in the municipality in question, increased vaccination coverage and the number of children attending the schools and seeking dental care, the students are becoming more informed and as well as their parents and guardians, are increasingly active in health activities developed at school. This paper aims to report as it has a partner relationship between health and education sectors, through the Family Health Programs and School Health in the City of North Matões.
